CALLING ON GOVERNOR RITCHIE
There are many people in the State of Maryland who cannot realize that Governor Ritchie is not a policeman or Justice of the Peace. They bother him with everything imaginable, from the demand that he act as umpire in a dog fight to the call for him to go to Salisbury and arrest the entire population because the Attorney General cannot get anyone to tell who the men are who lynched a murderer. Even crazy people appeal to him to settle their family affairs. With it all the Governor keeps his head and his good temper.
