Hold Two-Hour Conference At Mansion On Results Of Shore Inquiry [Annapolis Bureau of The Sun] .
Annapolis, Dec. 20—Governor Ritchie and William Preston Lane, Jr., Attorney-General, conferred for two hours at the Executive Mansion this afternoon on developments in the probe into the lynching of Matthew Williams. Negro, at Salisbury this month,
Following the conference Mr. Lane left for his home in Hagerstown.
"Mr. Lane and I went over the entire situation," the Governor said. "Everything possible is being done by Mr. Lane in the situation."
Mr. Lane has been cooperating with Levin C. Bailey, State's Attorney at Salisbury, in the probe of the lynching and its perpetrators.
Mr. Bailey has said that thirty or more statements have been taken, several from Negro spectators of the lynching.
