To the Editor of The Evening Sun—Sir: May I commend you for printing "The Salisbury Affair" in The Evening Sun of January 29? The Rev. Mr. Smith has presented the question most clearly.
The time has come when thos* who desire reason to govern relations between the races must speak but. The issues must no longer be cloaked in silence. Your stand should greatly encourage all who believe in justice and equality of opportunity for all races. Is it too much to hope that Mr. Smith's open stand may give courage to every clergyman in the State, whether he be Jew, Catholic or Protestant, to stand for the elimination of all racial discrimination?
