Mr. Lane's statement was followed by reports of a projected meeting here of the three judges of the First Judicial Circuit to consider the impending trial in Cambridge of Yuel Lee, alias Orphan Jones, in the light of last night's events here. Lee is charged with the murder of a family of four in Worcester county.
The judges, John B. Pattison, Joseph L. Bailey and Robert F. Duer, ruled last week in Snow Hill that there was not a sufficient threat of mob violence to prejudice Lee's chances for a fair trial,on the Eastern Shore.
