of Recent Salisbury
Lynching.
Annapolis, Dec. 21 (IP)—A two-hour conference concerning the lynching of a negro at Salisbury, December 4, was held Sunday in the executive mansion here before Governor Ritchie and Attorney General William Preston Lane, Jr. Following the discussion Mr. Lane| left for his home at Hagerstown. I "Mr. Lane and I went over the en-1 tire situation," the Governor said. "Everything possible-is being done by Mr. Lane in the situation."
The attorney general has beeni co-operating with Lavin C. Bailey,! state's attorney of Wieomico county: in an attempt to prosecute the leaders cf the mob that seized the negro from the Peninsula Hospital and hung him in the courthouse yard.
