Mr. Marbury On The Eastern Shore
To the Editor of The Sun—Sir: I have read with great interest Senator William Cabell Bruce's letter to you, published in The Sun of yesterday, with reference to Dr. Broadus Mitchell and other critics of the people of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I feel impelled to say that I heartily indorse every word that Senator Bruce says in this letter.
Like Senator Bruce, I have had an opportunity to see a good deal of the people of the Eastern Shore in political campaigns in which I have taken part, as well as in professional activities in the courts there, and a more kindly and courteous people I have never met. When one takes part in a political campaign one has an opportunity to come into contact with all sorts and conditions of men and to know something about the people as a whole. It is perfectly plain to my mind that Dr. Broadus Mitchell has never had that opportunity. Win. L. Mareury.
