| State Police Called On Report Race Riot Is Brewing In Berlin By LOUIS J. O'DONNEIX Staff Correspondent of The Sun Salisbury, Md., Dec. 6 (Sunday) — On receipt of a call from a man who said he was a deputy sheriff of Worcester county Lieut. Ruxton Ridgely and a detachment of ten State policemen on motorcycles arrived here at about 1.20 o'clock this morning. The report was to the effect that a mob believed to be bent on inciting a race riot in Berlin was forming at Princess Anne. The call was made to the headquarters of the State police in Baltimore and the deputy who phoned the call in was not obtained. The State policemen were drawn from the territory around the head of the peninsula. They were brought from Conowingo, the Golden Ring station and points adjacent.
