ponsibility for the lynching of Mat-
lew Williams at the door of the In-
;rnational Labor Defense League.
On the other hand, Bernard Ades,

"At the door of the Chief Execu-

Criticizes League's "Meddling" Talking on the telephone from his tome in Pocomoke City, on the East-rn Shore, Mr. Child said: "The lynching indicates that if the nternational Labor Defense League ioesn't stop meddling on the Eastern Shore we're going to have serious rouble." The State's Attorney said the lynch-ng, in his opinion, will not mitigate gainst a fair trial for Lee, who is to ;o on trial at Cambridge Tuesday. Mr. ^hild, on being questioned as to the lossibility of a change of venue in the ase as a result of the hanging of Wil-iams, said that "matter is entirely in he hands of the court."
Judge Refuses To Comment Chief Judge John R. Pattison, of the ¦Irst Judicial Circuit, reached by tele-ihone at his home at Cambridge, reused to discuss the lynching or its >ossible effect on Lee's place of trial. "I can't discuss that," he said. "I lon't want to say anything about it."
Levin C. Bailey, State's Attorney or Wicomico county, last night said le was not in Salisbury at the time >f the lynching.
Has No Plans At Present "I have no plans at the present ime," Mr. Bailey said when ques-ioned as to whether he would start in investigation to learn the identity >f mob leaders with a view toward prosecution. "I will have no plans antil I talk to the Sheriff and other ameers who were present."
