As Governor of IJaryload, I deplore the Salisbury lynching, and have so atatod publicly, and everything which the State authorities can do to apprehend the perpetrators is being done. The Attorney General of the State haa had personal charge of the matter, and evory agency Shi eh I cm coimand 1ms been at work on the invest!nation.
Unfortunately, it lias not been possible, so far, to secure sufficient evidence to Juati: y any arresta, but we are trying our beat to do it, and I truBt we will be successful.
