I reoeivod your favor of December 10th. Ihe Stato authorities are doinc everything possible to apprehond the perpetrators who partiolpatod in the lynching of the Negro '.illia^is. I enclose you editorial from Ihe Baltimoro Sun of December 11th outlining the steps which I have taken in this ease and in the case of Orphan Jonos, and also full copy of ny statement issued on December 0th after the "illiaTas' lynching. Under my direction, the Attorney General of the Stato has been on the liastern Shore for two days and will return tomorrow for the purpose of personally investigating the situation on the spot.
